Maltese group Premier Capital, which holds the McDonald’s franchise in Romania, opened a new restaurant in Romania on Friday, November 10. The new unit is located in Mega Mall, in the Eastern part of Bucharest.

The company has invested some RON 2.5 million (EUR 539,000) in the restaurant, which will create 50 new jobs. McDonald’s has thus reached 70 units in Romania.

Premier Capital also owns the McDonald’s franchise in Greece, the Baltics, and Malta. It acquired the McDonald’s franchise in Romania last year.

McDonald’s has invested over RON 800 million (EUR 172.4 million) in Romania so far. It has 5,000 employees and yearly sales of EUR 130 million.
