Medas healthcare operator wants EUR 0.45 mln re-branding and new hospital in 2012

The private healthcare operator Medas will re-brand on a EUR 0.45 million budget, the company has announced. It also plans to build a EUR 3 million hospital. 'Our strategy for the next period will target an increase in the number of patients, through investments. The first will be a hospital for the surgery treatment of urogenital diseases, of some EUR 3 million, that will be opened at the beginning of next year,” said Simona Ateia, general manager of Medas. The hospital will cover over 2,000 sqm.

The private operator plans to reach a turnover of EUR 6.7 million this year, up 20 percent on 2010.

Medas was created in 2003, when it opened the Gabroveni clinic. It currently owns six clinics, five in Bucharest and one in Pitesti, 6 labs and 6 departments of radiology and imaginery.
