Media: BCR Fleet Management wins auction to deliver 140 cars for Romanian television TVR
BCR Fleet Management has won the auction organized by Romanian state-owned television TVR for the acquisition of 140 cars. The total value of the leasing contract amounts to EUR 2.4 million, without VAT.
However, sources from TVR told local news agency Mediafax that the contract can’t be signed because the Romanian Television Company (SRTv) doesn’t currently have a board of directors.
The auction was started by the former board of directors of TVR, led by Claudiu Saftoiu. TVR’s former board was dismissed by the Romanian Parliament in December last year.
Stelian Tanase was later appointed interim director of the Romanian Television.
However, according to the sources quoted by Mediafax, the contracts must be validated by TVR’s board of directors.
The amount of EUR 2.4 million is half the value estimated by TVR in September last year, when it announced the start of the purchase procedure for the 140 cars.
According to an announcement posted on September 25 on the website e-licitatie.ro, SRTv announced that will acquire 140 cars through operating leasing, the estimated value amounting to some EUR 5.1 million, without VAT, reports Mediafax.
The cars were to be purchased through “open auction”, and the award criteria was the “lowest price”, according to the announcement. The winner of the auction was not publicly announced by TVR.
