Media: New dinosaur discovered in France nicknamed Gypsy Dinosaur, 'after its cousins in Romania'

The discovery of a new type of dinosaur unearthed in France brought Romania's name back into the French media, as the new dinosaur was nicknamed the Gypsy Dinosaur, Atsinganosaurus velauciensis, according to LePoint.fr.

The newspaper comments on the dinosaur’s nickname, saying it reflects on the resemblance to its cousins from Romania.

The 75 million year old dinosaur was found in d'Aix-en-Provence, south east France and was placed in the titanosaures family. The dino, 12 meters long, was herbivore.
