Medical center ProVita opens EUR 8.3 mln hospital in Bucharest
Medical center ProVita will inaugurate a hospital in Bucharest in September, following an investment of EUR 8.3 million.
The company will thus reach a network of three medical units, two of them specialized in minimally invasive spine surgery and pain therapy.
The hospital will cover 2,000 sqm and will include several specializations, including an Outpatient and Imaging Center, reports local Wall-street.ro. Of the total investment, over EUR 5 million went into the hospital’s equipment.
Last year, the company recorded a turnover of EUR 2 million.
The company, which was founded in 2011, plans to open a post-surgery recovery center with the possibility of long-term stay. The post-surgery mortality rate, at one-two months after the procedure, is extremely high among old patients that are discharged, said Ovidiu Palea, Pro Vita Medical Center’s general manager.
