Medicover invests EUR 400,000 to relocate clinic in Romania's Ploiesti

Swedish healthcare provider Medicover has invested EUR 400,000 in relocating a clinic in Ploiesti, Romania.

This clinic provides patients with more than 25 medical specialties, including occupational medicine, as well as an authorized center for international vaccinations.

The Medicover Ploiesti clinic also has a service dedicated to people who work on offshore oil platforms, as oil companies OMV Petrom and Lukoil both have operations in Ploiesti.

The clinic in Ploiesti is an important step in the company’s strategy to double its turnover in the next three years and expand its local network organically, said Adrian Peake, head of Medicover Romania.

In 2014, the Medicover network posted a turnover of EUR 50 million in Romania. The company increased its revenues in clinics and hospitals by 20%, according to Adrian Peake.
