After a few days with summery temperatures of up to 30 degrees Celsius, the weather started to change in Romania on Friday. Moreover, the meteorologists issued a rain alert for the weekend. The temperatures will also drop to around 20 degrees Celsius, a more appropriate value for this time of year.

The forecast shows rain across Romania between April 9, 11:00 and April 11, 23:00. In will mainly rain in western Romania on Saturday, as well as in the mountain areas, with the quantities of water expected to exceed 20 liters per sqm and even 40 liters per sqm in some areas. The rain will then take over the southern, central, and eastern regions.

The meteorologists also expect torrential rains with lightning and thunder, and even hail, which is what would be expected in the hot summer months but not in April.
