Millennium Bank Romania reduces loss to EUR 24 million
Millennium Bank Romania posted a loss of EUR 24 million in 2010, which was down 38 percent on 2009, the bank has announced. The year before, the bank had posted a loss of EUR 38.5 million, higher than the loss posted in 2008.
The bank's assets reached EUR 517 million at the end of last year, up 11 percent. Millennium Bank Romania grew the volume of loans by 12 percent to EUR 303 million, compared to the end of 2009.
Millennium Bank Romania is part of the Portuguese group Millennium bcp, which entered the Romanian market in October 2007. It runs 74 outlets in Romania, with 731 employees and 45,000 customers in the country.
