Modulab, the creation of a team of Romanians, which allows, among others, technology enthusiasts to move objects without touching them, has become increasingly popular among art and technology aficionados.

Former journalist Ioana Calen and technology passionate Paul Popescu built from scratch the creative laboratory six years ago, and turned it into a home for technologies of the future and a place where technology enthusiasts can play with new gadgets, reports stiri.tvr.ro.

There are other new technologies in Modulab, such as lighted water drops that play like a harp, holograms and 3D printers. Last year, Last year Modulab organized one of the first collaborative art project, which consisted in creating a conceptual frame for an interdisciplinary team to develop the interactive installations. One of their interactive installations, FluO, is now on display at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, within “SenzArt” collective exhibition.

The laboratory is located on Viitorului street in Bucharest. Modulab also do trainings and workshops, rent laboratories and organize various exhibitions.
