MOL wants third largest gas station network in Romania
Hungarian group MOL wants to have the third largest gas station network in Romania by 2017.
It plans to outpace competitor Lukoil and reach a 20% market share. The company will focus on expanding its network and making acquisitions in Romania, said Lars Hoeglund, MOL vice-president, cited by local Mediafax.
At the end of February, the Hungarian group completed taking over the 42 gas stations bought from ENI Romania, part of the Italian group ENI. MOL reached a network of 200 units.
OMV Petrom currently has the largest gas station network in Romania, followed by Rompetrol, part of the KMG International, and Lukoil.
