Monthly Wim Wenders movie screenings to start on March 1 in Bucharest

The Goethe Institute in Bucharest will host monthly movie screenings of films directed by Wim Wenders for the next 10 months at the New Cinema of the Romanian Director (NCRR). During each screening, a representative of the Romanian or the German film scene (directors, critics) will offer an introduction and lead a discussion at the end of the movie.

The moviegoers are expected in the first Tuesday of each month, from March to December, to discover Wenders’ masterpieces. The series start on March 1 at 19,00 hours with "Himmel über Berlin " (The sky above Berlin, 1987) which won the “Best Director” prize at Cannes in 1987, among other awards. The main guest will be film critic Andrei Gorzo.

Other films included in the review are: Alice in den Städten, Im Lauf der Zeit, Der amerikanische Freund, Der Stand der Dinga, Paris - Texas, Lisbon Story, Die Gebrüder Sklandanowsky, Do not come knocking, Tokyo-Ga.  All the movies will be subtitled in Romanian.
