Most Romanians approve Tax Authority’s controls
Most Romanians (93%) have heard about the controls carried out lately by Romania’s Tax Authority ANAF.
Some three quarters of them have a good opinion about these checks, 21% disapprove of them and 6% have no opinion, according to a survey carried out by CSCI.
People support ANAF’s measures out of a moral sense, but also out of pragmatism, as the budget revenues will increase. Companies should respect the law, despite their size, most respondents believe.
Unskilled workers, people from Western Romania, intellectuals and those who usually don’t vote are generally more reserved about ANAF’s actions. Overall, young people supported ANAF more than the rest. The left wing voters also approve more of the controls carried out by the Tax Authority.
