British rock band Mungo Jerry, who rose to fame in 1970 with their hit song In the Summertime, will perform in Romania this week, on January 25, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Bucharest. The concert will mark the five-year anniversary of the only Hard Rock Cafe restaurant in Romania.

To many, Mungo Jerry's most famous song remains 'In the Summertime', which was launched 40 years ago, and which sold over 30 million copies. The song is considered the most listened to summer hit of all time. Listen to it below.

Mungo Jerry mixes rock, pop, blues, boogie and skiffle. The line up includes front man Ray Dorset (in picture) the front man, who is the only band member from the original group in the 70s, when the band started. The band recently made a comeback and in 2012, Mungo Jerry released Cool Jesus and the single Give Us a Song

Tickets for the concert in Bucharest are on sale at RON 50, no seating, RON 80 – with seating, and RON 400, which includes a meeting and photo opportunity with the artist, as well as a poster and autographed CD. Tickets can be bought online here.
