Museum of Senses opens in Romanian seaside city mall

27 March 2019

A Museum of Senses will open in Mall Vivo! in the Romanian seaside city of Constanta on Friday, March 29. A similar museum was launched in Bucharest in 2017 and its “huge success” convinced the project developers to expand the concept in the rest of the country, the first stop being Constanta, according to a press release.

The Museum of Senses has 11 rooms and each of them offers different and amplified sensations that test the visitors’ senses in all their complexity: the visual, auditory, olfactory senses, the taste and the balance.

The new museum in Constanta will occupy a surface of approximately 450 square meters divided into six areas. Real estate consultancy firm Cushman & Wakefield Echinox brokered the lease transaction.

The museum tour takes about an hour and ends with a waterslide and a pool with over 30,000 balls.

The Museum of Senses in Bucharest, which is also located in a mall – the AFI Cotroceni Mall, welcomed over 150,000 in its first year of operation.
