American rapper Yasiin Bey, also known as Mos Def, will perform for the first time in Romania this September, during the Creative Fest event in Bucharest.

Creative Fest is an urban art and culture festival that will take place in Izvor Park, near the People’s Palace, on September 5 and September 6. The festival’s program includes music, street dance, graffiti, space painting, 3D urban art, skateboard, bike acrobatics, and juggling with fire.

Romanian artists such as Suie Paparude, Robin and the Backstabbers, Gojira & Planet H, DOC, Vlad Dobrescu, Les Elephants Bizarres, and Grimus will also perform on the event’s stage.

Yasiin Bey, better known by his former name Mos Def, is an American hip hop artist born in Brooklyn, New York. He began his music career in 1994, as Mos Def, but has known success in 1998. Mos Def has been vocal on several social and political causes, including police brutality, the idea of American exceptionalism, and the state of black Americans.

Yasiin Bey will entertain the crowd on the second day of the event (September 6). The entrance to the event is free.
