National Council: Former Romanian media mogul was a Communist secret police Securitate collaborator
Romanian businessman and former media mogul Sorin Ovidiu Vintu was a collaborator of the Communist secret police Securitate, according to the National Council which studies the Securitate Archives. The council asked the Bucharest Court of Appeal to issue a court order confirming the find.
According to information from the Council’s archives, cited by local Digi24, Vintu was recruited in prison in 1983. He was giving information about his inmates. Vintu’s nickname was Nuş, reports Digi24.
Vantu used to own the Realitatea Media group, and his name is link to the FNI scandal.
