Romania's Ministry of National Defence will open its gates to visitors on Sunday, April 3, to celebrate the NATO Day in Romania. Visitors will be able to enter the Ministry's headquarters in Bucharest between 08:30 and 13:00.
The Ministry of Defense has its headquarters on Arsenal Hill, close to the Parliament's Palace and the JW Marriott hotel.
The event's program will also include a military ceremony dedicated to Romania's accession to NATO, an outdoor exhibition of military equipment, and movie screenings, according to a statement of the Ministry.
Romania officially joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) on March 29, 2004. The country celebrates NATO Day every year on the first Sunday of April.
NATO Day is a public holiday dedicated to democracy, and the European and Euro-Atlantic spirit, the Ministry says in the statement.
