Navy SEAL who shot Osama bin Laden comes to Bucharest this May
Former US Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill, who shot Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in 2011, will come to Bucharest on May 28 to participate in a conference about leadership.
Romanian troops and family members of soldiers who died in Afghanistan missions are also expected at the event organized by McCann WorldGroup and Thiess Holding, called American Heroes, A Leadership Lesson.
Rear Admiral Scott Moore, who led several teams during military events such as the "Desert Storm” mission, will also attend the conference.
O'Neill, 39, is a former United States Navy SEAL. In November 2014, he said he had fired the head shots that killed Osama bin Laden during the raid on his Abbottabad compound on May 2, 2011. He was part of the Navy between 1995 and 2012.
“These are people who have made decisions in tenths of seconds and have fabulous experiences to share. I think they can be an inspiration for those who aspire to positions of leadership,” said Bogdan Enoiu, general manager McCann WorldGroup Romania.
This is the first event of a McCann/Thiess Conferences series of events. Tickets cost EUR 150, but there are also special packages for companies. The event will take place at Willbrook Hall in Bucharest. Tickets will be available in the Eventim network.
Robert O’Neill, 38, is a former US Navy Seal. He publicly declared last year that he was the one who has fired the shots that killed Osama bin Laden in 2011.
