Cycling enthusiasts can participate in a new cycling tour organized in Romania this spring.

The Great Pedaling (Marea Pedalare) two-day tour will take place in April and will connect Romania’s capital to Vama Veche seaside resort, via Calarasi.

The bikers will have to pedal a total of some 300 km, divided into two segments: Bucharest-Calarasi (121 km) on April 18 and Calarasi-Vama Veche (175 km) on April 19. Departure is from Bucharest, on April 18, 09:00.

Organized by ProSport, an online sports newspaper, the event aims to promote cycling as a lifestyle, a leisure activity, and welcomes all cycling enthusiasts.

Seats are limited to 300 and registrations are already open on the event’s website here.

The participation fee is RON 300 (EUR 65) until February 28 and RON 335 (some EUR 75) between March 1 and April 15. The participation package includes one night of accommodation, a dinner and a breakfast, transport for equipment and bikers, medical assistance, a festive evening, products from sponsors and the participation diploma.
