New Bucharest Old Music Season concert at Anglican Church this Friday
A new concert of the Bucharest Old Music Season called “Pièces de Clavecin en Concerts”, with Melinda Béres playing the baroque violin, Szilárd Chereji on viola da gamba and Raluca Enea on harpsichord will take place on Friday, April 15 at the Anglican Church in Bucharest, starting 18,00 hours (Alexandru D. Xenopol St.).
“Pièces de Clavecin en Concerts” is made of five plays: „La Timide”, „L'Agaçante”, „La Forqueray” and „La Rameau”. Published by Jean-Philippe Rameau in 1741, the five plays are devoted to a rather unusual instrumental ensemble in which the harpsichord is the soloist.
The Bucharest Old Music Season features Middle Ages music, both Western and Eastern: baroque music, renaissance, medieval, Gregorian, Byzantine and old Romanian music. The entrance at this event is free, based on seating availability.
