New EUR 40 mln research institute at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest

A new EUR 40 million research institute with 41 labs and a team of over 200 researches will be created at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest UPB by end-2015, according to Senator Ecaterina Andronescu, president of the UPB Senate, cited by local Mediafax.

The project will be financed with European funds. The future institute will operate in a building with a usable space of 8,000 sqm.

The Polytechnic University of Bucharest is one of the largest state universities in Romania.
