New express bus connects Brasov railway station to popular Poiana Brasov ski resort
An express bus connecting the mountain resort Poiana Brasov on Tampa mountain, to the central Romanian city of Brasov will take tourists to the ski slopes this season.
Set to operate its first ride on Saturday, December 21, the Poiana Expres 100 special transport line connects the Brasov railway station to the mountain resort. A bus will leave every 60 minutes, but only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
A bus ticket on this line, which is still a pilot project, will cost RON 5.5 (the equivalent of EUR 1.2). The new line makes it easier for tourists to reach the resort. Previously they had to take two different means of public transport.
Brasov and Poiana Brasov are both two places usually chosen by tourists, especially in the winter season. Poiana is one of the most popular ski resorts, both for locals and foreigners. The resort hosts 8 ski slopes, of different lengths and difficulties.
