New food & beverage director for JW Marriott Bucharest hotel
Markus Marquardt is the new food & beverage director of the five-star JW Marriott hotel in Bucharest.
Marquardt, 42, will lead a team of 150 people and be responsible for half of the revenues generated by the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel.
He will run the teams of the six restaurants at JW Marriott, JW Steakhouse, Cucina, Champions, Vienna Lounge, Pavilion Lounge and the summer terrace The Garden, and oversee the banqueting and events division.
Marquardt has 16 years of experience in the industry, having started out as sous chef of Panama Marriott Hotel in 1998. In 2006, he joined the Budapest Marriott Hotel, where he was Food & Beverage Director.

The five-star JW Marriott hotel in Bucharest has 402 rooms, 12 conference halls and six restaurants. It was opened in 2000, and is located near the Parliament Palace.
