New general manager for Romanian healthcare business Polisano
Octavian Iacob is the new general manager of drug distributor Polisano, replacing Andreea Pirvu, who was named CFO. Iacob has over 14 years of experience in distribution, 7 of which in drug distribution.
He worked with American Home Products Group, BASF Romania, Syngenta Agro Romania, Farmexpert, and ADM Farm.
This is another change for Polisano, after insolvency lawyer Remus Borza took over about a week ago as president of the group. Borza was close to the group’s founder, Ilie Vonica who committed suicide earlier this year.
The Polisano group, which runs drug production and distribution activities, as well as a network of clinics and hospitals, had a turnover of EUR 400 million in 2013.
Update: Romanian health entrepreneur Ilie Vonica dies after alleged suicide attempt, media reports
