British entrepreneur brings new parcel delivery platform to Romania

23 March 2016

British entrepreneur Brian Colin Snead has launched in Romania his Allpacka.ro platform, which offers users the possibility to compare the courier prices and book parcel delivery services.

Allpacka.ro works with some of the most important providers of courier services in the world, such as UPS, DPD, GLS, and TCE. In order to offer low prices, Allpacka.ro places all the orders received through the platform to its suppliers through a single account. This allows it to benefit from discounts from its suppliers, discounts that are then transferred to the clients through lower prices, according to a company statement.

“Using the Allpacka price comparison website is a smart way to compare courier services, and our customers can achieve up to 50% savings,” said Colin Snead, Allpacka CEO.

The prices on the platform are not based on distance. For example, the clients can expect to pay only RON 14 (EUR 3.1) to ship a parcel over 780 kilometers from Timisoara to Constanta. Allpacka also exports to more than 200 international destinations, with a typical three-kilogram parcel to Germany costing RON 64 (EUR 14.3).

Allpacka started in Hungary in 2010 and has shipped more than 100,000 parcels so far. The company also operates in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
