New Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce president

Romanian entrepreneur Dragos Anastasiu, the owner of the Eurolines tourism group, which includes TUI Travel Romania, was recently elected the new president of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania).

He replaces Radu Merica, whose mandate expired, AHK Romania announced.

“Our purpose is to increase the good Romanian – German economic relationships, and our task is to support German and Romanian companies’ entry on the Romanian, and German markets, respectively,” said Dragos Anastasiu.

He has been a board member of AHK Romania since 2011. Anastasiu is also the third president of the organization, after Karl – Josef Baum and Radu Merica.

The AHK Romania board also has several new members: Iuliu Cadar (Autonet Import), Wargha Enayati (Versa Puls Media), Daniel Metz (EBS Romania) and Cristian Secoșan (Romelectro), while Lorand Fabian (Geiger Group Romania) was re-elected. Juan Gruben (Commerzbank) is the new vice-president, and Ludger Thol (Lupp Projekt Transilvania) has left the board.
