New Romanian President's first official visit to Germany, in the beginning of 2015
Romania’s President-elect Klaus Iohannis said that he will pay an official visit to Germany as soon as possible, which is in the beginning of next year, according to German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.When asked about his first visit to Germany, Iohannis answered: "As soon as that is possible: the beginning of next year. I have very good contacts in Germany."
Iohannis, a German ethnic, will officially take over his presidential mandate on December 21. Until then, Iohannis will visit Moldova’s capital Chisinau today and pay an unofficial visit to the U.S., before being sworn in as President.
