New vehicle sales go up by 30% in Romania in February
New vehicle registrations rose by 30.7% in February compared to the same month in 2015, reaching almost 8,100 units. Some 5,100 of them were passenger cars.
Dacia ranks first with some 1,400 cars, up 4.8% year-on-year, followed by Skoda with 500 units, up 10%, Volkswagen, with some 440 units, up 29%.
The cars with the lowest frequency of registrations included Lexus and Mini, each of them with 10 units sold, Jaguar (6 units), Subaru (3 units), Alfa Romeo (2 units).
The registration of motor vehicles that transport goods went up by 58% to some 1,700 units whereas the sale of mopeds and motorcycles reached 102 units, up 29%.
