Romanian city Baile Herculane’s City Hall plans to build a water park with EUR 7 million (RON 31 million), to be named Therme Herculi. The water park will include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, water slide and relaxing spaces.

The design and execution contract of the Therme Herculi water park will be awarded through an open auction. The project will be awarded by several criteria, namely the price, the deadline of the project, the completion deadline, the warranty period, and the execution methodology. 95 percent of the funds for this project will be provided by the state budget, while the rest will come from the local budget.

Baile Herculane health resort, established by the Romans in the wooded Cerna Valley in the southern Carpathians, it's opened all year. Its mineral and thermal springs, that are chlorosodic, bicarbonate with sulfur or calcium or with brome-iodine-sulphur, treat rheumatic, nervous and nutritional problems.
