Violinist Nigel Kennedy returns to Bucharest with Bach & Gershwin concert
English violinist Nigel Kennedy will deliver a new concert in Bucharest this fall. The performance, titled Bach & Gershwin, is scheduled to take place on October 8 at Bucharest’s Sala Palatului.
The artist has performed in the country several times before, including at the George Enescu Festival. In the fall of 2016, he had concerts in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.
Kennedy, who studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and at Juilliard School in New York, is known for his classical music performances but also for tackling other genres, like jazz. Throughout his career he collaborated with artists such as Paul McCartney, The Who, Jeff Beck, Kate Bush and Jack DeJohnette.
His latest album is titled My World. It was released in 2016 and includes the collaboration with the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra & The Stella.
