Nine-month trade deficit in Romania down as exports grow more rapidly than imports
Romania's trade deficit went down to EUR 6.9 billion in the first nine months of the year, a drop of 1.18 percent, as exports grew more rapidly than imports, according to the country's statistics institute.
Exports reached EUR 33.4 billion, 24.2 percent higher than during the same period of 2010. Imports grew by 19 percent, to EUR 40.3 billion.
Trade with cars and transport equipment covered 41 percent of exports and 33.7 percent of imports.
