Nine of the world’s ten most valuable brands are also present on the Romanian market

Of the world’s ten most valuable brands, all belonging to American companies, nine are also present on the Romanian market, either having direct operations in the country or just through the products they are selling.
Consumer electronics producer Apple, the most valuable brand in the world, hasn’t got an office or sales representative in Romania, but its iPhones and iPads are among the best-selling gadgets on the local market.
Internet group Google, the second most valuable brand in the world, has an office in Romania which is in charge of selling its services and products to local companies, and Coca-Cola, the third largest brand in the world, has two factories in Romania, via one of its largest bottling companies, Coca-Cola HBC.
Consumer goods producer Procter&Gamble also has a factory in Romania, in Urlati, where it produces shampoos and conditioners. Tobacco producer Philip Morris also has a cigarette factory in Romania, in Otopeni.
McDonald’s is one of the largest players in the local restaurants business, with its network of fast-food restaurants, while IT groups Microsoft and IBM have service centers in Romania, which support not only their local clients but their international ones as well.
Pharmaceutical company Johnson&Johnson is also present in Romania via its Janssen subsidiary
The only top 10 brand which is not yet present in Romania is telecom group AT&T. Still, this might change in the following years, as AT&T is interested in opening a service center in Romania.
