Number of Romanians who take the Cambridge English exams, up by 80% in eight years
The number of Romanians who take the Cambridge English exams has increased by 80% in the last eight years, and most of them successfully pass the tests, according to Cambridge English Language Assessment representatives in Romania.
Some 88% of the students successfully promote the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam and 78% pass the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE), the most popular exam of this type, reports local Mediafax.
Success in a Cambridge English exam provides the students with an intentionally recognised certificate showing their English level. In Romania, a Cambridge English: Advanced exam can replace the English tests at the local Baccalaureate exam.
More than five million candidates from over 130 countries take the Cambridge English exams every year. The Cambridge English Language Assessment exams are known and recognised by schools, universities, private and public sector employers all over the English-speaking world.
