Drivers are the most wanted employees in Romania at the moment, according to a study by local classifieds platform olx.ro, based on the number of job offers.

“Drivers-car services-couriers” category has had the most job offers on the olx.ro website in five of the first six months of this year. The category also has the highest number of job applicants and the most interactions between employers and candidates, the study shows.

Next in terms of job offers is the “engineers-craftsmen-builders” category, followed by “work abroad”, “hotel and restaurant personnel”, “babysitters-maids” and “cashiers-commercial workers” categories. Meanwhile, in terms of number of candidates, the second most popular category is “work abroad”.

The average period in which a vacancy is filled on the olx.ro jobs section is between 12 days and 2 months, depending on the category. Babysitters and maids are the easiest to find, as it takes 12 days on average to fill such a position. Cashiers and commercial workers (15 days), events and entertainment personnel (16 days), administrative personnel and secretaries (17 days) are also relatively easy to find. Driver and courier positions are filled in 21 days, on average. Meanwhile, in the IT and Telecom category, the average period for closing an ad is 52 days.
