One in four Romanians, namely 24.9 percent of the population, will own a car in 2020, up from 19.3 percent in 2011, according to estimations regarding Romania’s level of motorization, included in the General Master Plan of Transportation and quoted by Agerpres.

According to a chart in the quoted document, the level of motorization will continue to increase to over 35 percent in 2030.

Meanwhile, the number of train trips is expected to be down by 20.8 percent by 2020.
