UPDATE: One Romanian injured, one dead in recent suicide attack in Kabul, Afghanistan

Two Romanian citizens were victims of a suicide car bomb attack that took place on Tuesday (July 2) in Kabul, Afghanistan. “According to some information yet officially unconfirmed, one of the Romanian citizens was injured and is now under medical care and the second one is missing,” reads a statement of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

UPDATE: The Romanian which went missing was found dead on Tuesday, July 2, according to Romania's Foreign Affairs Ministry.

The two Romanian citizens are employees of an international firm that serves a logistics base in the Afghan capital city. Romania’s diplomatic mission is in permanent contact with the local authorities and is ready to provide the necessary consular assistance, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the international media, seven people were killed in the recent attack in Kabul that targeted a foreign logistics company supplying NATO forces. “Four Nepali guards, one Afghan guard and two Afghan civilians have been killed," said Kabul police chief Mohammad Ayoub Salangi, quoted by Afp.com.

This is the latest attack in Kabul in recent weeks, after the suicide attacks in the Supreme Court, the airport and the presidential palace.
