Online payment processor Netopia mobilPay processed 1.2 million payments in the first half of the year, up 30% over the same period last year.

Over a quarter of the total transactions the company processed were carried out from phones and tablets.

The total value of the payments processed in this period increased by 70% compared to the first six months of 2014, reaching EUR 65 million.

The average amount spent in an online transaction amounted to RON 240 (EUR 54.5) compared to RON 180 (EUR 40.8) in 2014.

The biggest payments processed by the company in this period were for tourism services, furniture and IT&C products.
