Only half of Romanian NGOs promote themselves online
A recent study conducted by iVOX.ro shows that just over 50% of Romanian NGOs choose online promotion.
Moreover, over 81% of them have never applied for funding destined to this type of organization because they don’t have the resources or they don’t know the application methods.
Most people don’t trust and don’t help NGOs because they fail to communicate effectively with target groups and communities, according to the How present are the NGOs among Romanians? study conducted in March.
Given these statistics, Digital Europe Association continues the national project WEB-NGO started in January in Romania. The project aims to develop NGOs’ promoting capacities and to increase Romanians’ confidence in non-governmental institutions. It targets the creation of web pages for about 30% of the NGOs that don’t have a presentation website, although this is required when they apply to any type of funding.
Moreover, NGOs have easier access to international grants after joining the WEB-NGO project.
Study: Only half of companies in Romania donate to NGOs
