Three Oracle employees lose their lives in tragic nightclub incident in Bucharest

Three employees of Oracle Romania lost their lives following the recent fire at Colectiv Club in Bucharest, reports local Euractiv.ro. Moreover, seven of the company’s employees are injured.

One of the victims died on Tuesday morning, November 3, at St. Pantelimon hospital in Bucharest.

Sorin Mîndruţescu, Oracle Country Leader Romania, told Euractiv.ro: “I wish to express my deep and sincere grief about the tragedy at the Colectiv Club in Bucharest. Our thoughts and prayers are directed to all the families and all those affected, part of this tragedy’s victims being employees of Oracle Romania.”

Oracle’s CEO Safra Catz came to Romania last weekend to offer support to the grieving families and friends, and to those who work to rescue and help the victims, Mîndruţescu added.

The death toll reached 32 on Tuesday morning. More than 130 people are still in hospitals, 50 of them being in critical condition.
