Orange launches highest mobile internet speed offer in Romanian capital

Telecom company Orange has recently launched in Bucharest its mobile internet services through the company's 3G network, with a speed reaching 43.2 Mbps for downloading and 5.76 Mbps for uploading data, the highest speed for mobile internet services in Romania. The company's equipment in the metro network has been revamped and the speed there reaches up to 21.6 Mbps.

To navigate using the new speed of the mobile internet, the customers have to be in places where this service is active and must use a compatible modem. The new service is available through Orange's Colibri 15 and Colibri 25 subscriptions, for EUR 15 and EUR 25 per month, respectively. The Happy Night option allows free traffic for connection to the internet between 00:00 hours and 07:00 hours.

Orange plans to invest between EUR 500 and EUR 600 by 2015 to develop the network. This year the company will invest EUR 110 million in Romania.
