Orange Romania will use chatbots developed by local startup Druid to automate HR processes
Druid, a company specialized in the development of virtual assistants (chatbots) for enterprise organizations, founded by Romanian entrepreneur Liviu Dragan, has implemented a human resources chatbot for telecom operator Orange Romania.
The "Roby" chatbot, developed on Druid conversational technology, has been serving Orange Romania’s more than 3,600 employees for four months.
Roby can check the employees’ identity and position within the organization, and assist them with various requests, for example, in choosing the desired clinic for medical services or filling in the necessary certificates, based on predefined templates. Roby also answers questions about the various payments that employees want to make, providing useful details about the entire payment process.
Roby currently receives over 300 requests a week. The chatbot is hosted in the Orange Romania intranet and is integrated with the internal database.
The technical solution agreed by the two companies has generated a hybrid implementation, in which the conversational flows are in the cloud, and the database connector is in the Orange infrastructure, for complete data security.
"Roby helps us to offer a very good experience to our colleagues and, at the same time, to streamline certain HR processes. Also, by providing instant answers to questions often asked by employees, we have increased the satisfaction of our colleagues. Over the past month, we've expanded Roby's knowledge to cover other specific HR requests, such as benefit information,” said Luiza Müller, HR director of Orange Romania.
Launched two years ago, Druid is the only company in Romania specialized in developing intelligent virtual assistants dedicated to complex enterprise processes.
Orange is the leader of the local telecom market, with over 10 million clients.
