Orange Romania sees higher revenues in third quarter
Orange Romania, the biggest telecom group on the local market, recorded a turnover of EUR 287 million in the third quarter of this year, up by 3.5% compared to the same period of 2017.
The increase was mainly supported by the positive evolution of converged services (fixed-mobile) and of mobile data consumption.
At the end of September, Orange Romania offered mobile, fixed and TV services to 10.9 million clients, up by 1.8% compared to September 2017. The number of 4G clients reached 3.84 million, up 34% compared to one year ago.
Mobile data traffic also increased by 80% in the third quarter compared to the same period of 2017. The Orange Home TV service, available both through cable and satellite, reached 476,000 clients, up 29% over Q3 2017, while the fixed broadband internet service reached 260,000 clients, up 67%.
