Orange's local revenues down 10% but customer base up
Mobile telephony operator Orange witnessed a decrease of 10 percent in its revenues in Romania in the first quarter of the year, down to EUR 237 million, according to the company. But it could have been worse, considering that in the last three months of last year the company has seen a drop of 24 percent in the rate of cashing in.
Orange, with 10.8 million customers in Romania at the end of March this year, saw its customer base growing 7 percent in Q1, compared to the same period of last year. The average revenue per user was of EUR 88. Orange is headed in Romania by Thierry Millet.
