Otros Aires plays the nuevo tango again in Bucharest this April
Argentinean nuevo tango band Otros Aires will return to Romania on April 14 for a performance at Godot Cafe-Theater in Bucharest. Tickets to the concert are available online here, in Germanos stores, Humanitas Bookstores, Vodafone and Orange stores and will cost RON 50 until March 20 and after that, RON 65. On the day of the event, they will cost RON 80.
The band, set up in 2003 in Barcelona by Argentinean architect Miguel di Genova, is inventively mixing classical tango and “milonga” since the end of previous century with electronic elements, lyrics and rhythms of 21st century.
Described by Small World Music Society of Toronto as "one of the most representative and complete audiovisual shows in current global fusion," their sound perfectly combines traditional instruments such as bandoneon, piano and acoustic guitar, with programming and samples recorded from old tangos.
Over their seven-year career, Otros Aires released three studio albums, one live album, and a DVD documentary. The latest album was released last fall and is called "Tricota."
