Bucharest is a city of conflicting things: new and old together, beautiful and derelict side by side, the unexpected and the boring, they all coexist in the Romanian capital.

A beautiful skyline, an old church’s wooden doors, a church near a steel and glass office tower, the mass jumble of cars – including luxury brands – these are some of the images we captured in our regular walks through the capital.

A refreshing sunrise in Eastern Bucharest, a formerly industrial area, now more and more targeted by residential developers, and the fish market at Obor, one of the most popular areas to buy fish in the city, one that can be smelled from afar.

Creativity on Calea Victoriei, one of Bucharest’s luxury streets, and a bit of love at one of the most popular meeting points in Bucharest – the fountain at the Architecture University.

This is Bucharest.
