Outsourcing group Genpact leases 3,000 sqm from Romanian Iulius Group to double office space in Cluj
Romanian real estate company Iulius Group, owned by local businessman Iulian Dascalu, recently leased 3,000 sqm of its United Business Center office building in Cluj-Napoca to outsourcing company Genpact.
With this transaction, Iulius Group fully rented the 10,000 sqm office building, which will be inaugurated in September this year. The rest of United Business Center, some 7,000 sqm, is leased to IT services company Endava.
Genpact consolidated its operation in Cluj, where it will occupy three floors of the building developed by Dascalu’s group. Genpact also renewed its leasing contract for 2,900 sqm of office space in Iulius Business Center.
Genpact currently has 700 employees in Cluj and 1,600 employees in Bucharest. The company made a turnover of EUR 71 million and a net profit of EUR 6.75 million in 2013.
Iulius Group is one of the largest local real estate developers. In addition to the office project in Cluj, the group owns four shopping centers located in Iasi, Timisoara, Cluj and Suceava and the Palas Iasi project, one of the largest real estate investments outside Bucharest.
