The Romanian Police dismantled 237 organized criminal groups last year, made of 1,995 people who were also sent to trial.

The Police seized EUR 1.76 million, over USD 320,000, 76.76 kg of gold and RON 151 million, reads a report of the Romanian Police. It also confiscated 774.89 kg of drugs,  139.63 kg of which were high-risk drugs and 635.26 kg were risk drugs, as well as over 390,000 drug tablets.

One of the most important actions organized by the Romanian Police was the so-called Bruno Operation. The Police seized 30 kg of cocaine with a market value of some EUR 1.5 million.

Last year, the Police also dismantled a group of Italians who was printing money, and seized EUR 12 million. The local Police worked with Italian authorities in this case.
