13 September 2011

Over 500 people ran during the “Civil Society Run” held last Sunday  in the Herastrau Park in the Romanian capital city. Through this event, the Bucharest Running Club Association wanted to promote a healthy lifestyle through sport and to attract more people interested in being part of charitable activities.

The cross also intended to encourage people to start training and to participate in the fourth edition of the Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest International Marathon, to be held on October 8 for children and on October 9 for adults.

The adults that participated to the cross ran 5 km, while children, 2 km. All the money collected at this event will be donated to two organizations in Romania, namely Hospice Casa Sperantei and Viitor Plus Asociatia pentru Dezvoltare Durabila.
