Over half of cash-for-clunkers vouchers booked in three months in Romania
Some 10,000 vouchers in the cash-for-clunkers program have already been booked in the first three months of the program. This represents some 60 percent of the total of 17,000 vouchers available this year.
Most of the vouchers were booked in Bucharest and Arges and Constanta counties, according to Romanian Minister of Environment Attila Korodi, quoted by local Mediafax.
He said that since the launch of the program, there were given some 3,000 vouchers per month and it’s possible that all vouchers will be booked by October.
The new cash-for-clunkers (or Rabla) program for 2014 started in April. The program aims to replace old cars with new ones that are less polluting.
