Over half of Romanians use LinkedIn and Facebook for jobs

Almost 6 out of 10 Romanians use social media when looking for a job, according to a study conducted by Adecco, cited by local Dailybusiness.ro. The data reveals that 56% of those in search of a job use social media, LinkedIn being the most used platform – 52%.

Facebook is the most used social network. Users check this platform for both personal matters and when looking for a job. Other digital environments also started to grow popular among Romanians, such as the blog – 2.2%, Twitter – 4.4%, Pinterest – 2.3% and Youtube – 1.9%.

Over half of job seekers were contacted at least once by a potential employer, via social media.
